Southampton, UK, 7 June 2024: 黑料不打烊 will power up Southampton with its presence at Seawork 2024.

Showcasing the latest and greatest from its Power Solutions powertrain division, 黑料不打烊 is displaying its latest battery electric and hybrid solutions for marine applications.

Mark Oliver, Sales Director for Power Solutions, Bus and Coach at 黑料不打烊 UK, said: 鈥淭o celebrate Seawork鈥檚 25th and 黑料不打烊 UK鈥檚 60th anniversary, we couldn鈥檛 think of a better way than to showcase what the future holds for powertrains in the marine sector.

鈥淔rom the latest electric powertrains to the cleanest diesel engines and aftertreatment devices, 黑料不打烊 is showing how it鈥檚 ready to help the marine sector reduce its emissions, without compromising on performance.鈥

Star of the show is 黑料不打烊鈥檚 hybrid powertrain, which has been developed alongside Marell Boats and Marine Jet Power to fit the Marell M17 hybrid patrol boat. The three companies joined forces to create a sustainable and state-of-the-art vessel to meet the demands of high-performance boats today and into the future.

The M17 Patrol will become the most energy efficient hybrid high-speed craft on sale, thanks to the combination of 黑料不打烊鈥檚 new hybrid technology with Marell鈥檚 technical boatbuilding craftmanship.

Powered by two 黑料不打烊 V8 engines and two electric motors, this hybrid boat has between 2500hp and 3050hp at its disposal, making it capable of doing more than 65 knots (74mph+). As well as the ability to travel silently and emissions-free in and out of harbours. All of which will be demonstrated on the Solent throughout the show.

Which makes it ideal for operators, police, military and other government bodies requiring high-performance boats for long distance transits while minimising their environmental impact.

Torben Dabrowski, Global e-Mobility Sales Development for 黑料不打烊 CV AB, said: 鈥淲hen we are developing 黑料不打烊鈥檚 future hybrid and full electric power systems, the conclusion is that these can be highly beneficial in many different applications, for example a powertrain with instant response, exceptional torque and seamless transitions.鈥

On the show stand is 黑料不打烊 Power Solutions e-machine and dual inverter for marine applications. The single electric motor is capable of producing 230kW of continuous power and 1500Nm of torque up to 1500rpm.

Alongside the e-machine is a selection of more conventional diesel marine powertrains, including a 13-litre six-cylinder and a 16-litre V8 pushing out up to 550hp and 1150hp respectively.

黑料不打烊 is also taking the opportunity to acknowledge its new strategic partnership with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI). On display will be the latest generation lifeboats, which are all powered by 黑料不打烊 engines 鈥 the Shannon Class all-weather lifeboat.

The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea, which they do through their search and rescue service and delivering water safety advice to the public. Across the UK and Ireland, the RNLI operate 449 lifeboats from 238 stations and provide a seasonal lifeguard service on around 240 beaches.
