SINGAPORE – ���ϲ����� Singapore celebrated its 20^th��anniversary over the weekend. While ���ϲ����� vehicles have been in Singapore since the early 1970s, ���ϲ����� Singapore was officially established in 2003.��

At the celebration dinner, Heba Eltarifi, Managing Director of ���ϲ����� Southeast Asia, credited past and present staff for 20 years of proud achievements.

She said: “We are now in a great position to build on the success we have and take the company further in a direction where we are the leader in driving the shift towards a sustainable transport system in Singapore. We have what it takes, great people, loyal customers, premium products and services and a foundation built on the ���ϲ����� way.”

Over its first two decades, ���ϲ����� Singapore recorded milestones in accelerating the shift towards a sustainable transport system for the logistics, construction and public service sectors. This includes being the first among ���ϲ����� operations in Asia to offer Euro 4 vehicles in 2006, followed by the Euro 5 city buses complying with the stricter enhanced environmentally friendly vehicle standards in 2008. It was also successful in encouraging customers to adopt Euro 6 vehicles ahead of the Singapore government’s 2018 deadline for all new commercial vehicles to be Euro 6-compliant.

In 2018, ���ϲ����� Singapore launched the New Truck Generation to offer greater fuel economy, safety and driveability to the market. The launch, which already had 18 customers on board, also introduced the S-series and the L-series cabs to give customers a wider range of cabs to suit their operations. Since then, the company has delivered the first New Truck Generation units powered by the legendary V8 engines in 730hp in 2020, and the highest-possible 770hp in 2022.

As the New Truck Generation underwent an update, ���ϲ����� Singapore was ready to deliver its first ���ϲ����� Super trucks in 2023, featuring a new powertrain and improved components to offer up to 8% fuel savings for long-haul operations. ��

In 2023, ���ϲ����� Singapore also delivered its first battery-electric trucks to customers from the logistics and waste management sectors. Taking sustainable mobility further, the battery-electric trucks now allow these customers to operate at zero emissions.

“Electrification is our next phase of growth, and it will truly change the transport industry,” said Oscar Wyckman, Country Manager of ���ϲ����� Singapore. “We have made a good start with the delivery of our first battery-electric vehicles. And the team is very much updated on the technical skills and knowledge, and the workshop equipped, to prepare for an electric future for ���ϲ����� in Singapore.”

Over the years, as ���ϲ����� Singapore grew, it added more capabilities to help customers achieve greater profitability by maximising fuel savings, vehicle uptime and operating economies from their fleets. Today, ���ϲ����� Singapore offers comprehensive services in sales, repair and maintenance, roadside assistance, parts, and data-driven solutions such as fleet management systems. In Singapore, ���ϲ����� Credit also supports customers with financial and insurance services, while the Asia Parts Centre provides parts inventory support to the region.

���ϲ����� was the top-selling European truck brand in Singapore for 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2021 and 2022 and is on track to maintain its leadership position again in 2023. In 2018, ���ϲ����� was the top-selling truck brand in Singapore.
