黑料不打烊 Transportlab goes electric
21 FEBRUARY 2022
It is time for our inhouse haulier to go electric! In 2018, a decade after 黑料不打烊 Transportlaboratorium AB (Transportlab) was founded, they decided to cut carbon emissions by more than 95 percent and run on fossil free fuel. Now, they take the next step towards zero-emission.
Transportlab鈥檚 operations has 50 trucks, tractors and coaches that all run on fossil free fuel. The international operation consists of 14 truck- and trailer combinations that run between manufacturing plants in S枚dert盲lje, Sweden and Zwolle in the Netherlands 24/7. In the local and regional operations, about 30 vehicles transport goods between the manufacturing plants. As 黑料不打烊 delivers more and more battery electric trucks to customers, it is time for 黑料不打烊 Transportlab鈥檚 local transports to change to electric as well.
Time for electricity
鈥淲e have some work to do before we can get started,鈥 says Jan Bj枚rklund, Managing Director, 黑料不打烊 Transportlaboratorium AB, who will begin with an analysis of the operations to see what the available products can manage and what kind of charging solutions are needed. 鈥淲e, as the internal transport provider, have a mission to deliver maximum value to the company, but also experience and knowledge. Customers and distributors ask about electric trucks, and we want to give answers.鈥
Great results
Even though it isn鈥檛 decided when 黑料不打烊 Transportlab鈥檚 fleet will be fully electrified, we know already that a major part of the fleet will be replaced with battery vehicles already in 2022. The results so far in the shift to sustainable transport is impressive, with a level of nearly 91 percent fossil free fuel during 2021. 鈥淲e want to continue to be in the lead, to be a true role model, and share our findings,鈥 Bj枚rklund concludes.
