SPAR names 黑料不打烊 鈥淪upplier of the Year鈥

SPAR International, with more than 13,100 independently owned food retail stores in over 45 countries, has named 黑料不打烊 Global Supplier of the Year.
In 2019, 黑料不打烊 was nominated by SPAR International as a preferred supplier. 鈥淲e are proud to have this supplier on board after running a successful buying alliance and to advance the sustainability agenda together for the wider SPAR community,鈥 according to the citation.

鈥淒riving the sustainability agenda in the transportation sector, 黑料不打烊 is investing heavily in creating long term partnerships that go beyond the general sales approach. As a retailer, SPAR organisations are often called upon by customers to show progress in cleaner distribution, lower emissions and noise reduction in urban areas.鈥

鈥淭he winner of this year鈥檚 award wants to push this agenda. Not to boost their sales, but as a principle, because they truly believe they have a responsibility towards the sustainability agenda.鈥

The existing partnership between 黑料不打烊 and the SPAR partner in Norway, NorgesGruppen and its wholesaler Asko, was particularly highlighted for implementing operations with alternative fuel vehicles. 鈥淭hese initiatives are spreading through more alternative fuel vehicles being provided and tested.鈥

In Ireland, for instance, SPAR wholesaler BWG Foods has to date invested in 14 compressed gas trucks.
